Default Phantom Grip, what a piece of absolute garbage!

I took apart my tranny to put my new Phantom Grip in. After I spent an hour taking apart the tranny and pulling the differential out, the Phantom grip will not fit. It is machined wrong, and won't let the pinion shaft in the differential pass through it!

I am getting a refund for the POS.

What is really making me angry is that I accidently slipped with the ball peen hammer when hastily reassembling the diff and made a very small chip in the VSS gear. At least I think that is what the gear is. The chip is about 1mm x 1mm or so, at the top edge of the gear.

Think it will cause any problems with the functioning of the vss? I can't remember the last time I was so pissed off. Should've bought a Quaife.

Huh... well, I never had a problem with mine... but a friend bought a Quaife and tried to put it on his CRX... it came FUCKED UP and he's having to send it back. The bearings ******* slid on by hand. lol. Not what it was supposed to do.

So no 1 company is without problems man. Sorry dude, but even Mercedes has a service department.

Not one single issue. No slippage, and I still barked both tires in fourth gear with it.
Not saying that someone else won't ahve problems, but that's probably the only thing left on my car that hasn't fucked up. lol

yeah, but you just read two people who loved it.

I know two people who aren't happy with Quaife right now.
