Default TRANNY??CLUCTH?? FLYWHEEl high rpms

ok, my rpms when in 5th gear going about 70mph used to be around 3700, and now my rpms in 5th gear going 70 are around 4500, its a b16 cable tranny and i didnt resurface the flywheel.... do you think not resurfacing would cause the high rpms, it didnt sstart doing that untill 5 or 6 months after changing my cluch, and opinions???????

its a ys1, syncros are messes up maybe thats the problem?

I can tell you right now your syncro's have no effect on your problem whatsoever.

Heres a ?, have you change tires at all since then? And if your clutch isnt slipping then not resurfacing your flywheel shoulding do that, the only reason you would resurface it is to give your clutch new metal to grab onto and also get rid of any scoring or heat marks(which in that case, if bad enough it should be replaced)

Sounds like a driveline problem to me.

well my tranny grinds pretty bad, and your the first person who actually helped me with my problem besides people telling my what kind of tranny thety think it is, when i KNOW what it is, driveline posible problem? i was planning on geting tranny rebuilt or looking for new one. if u got any tranny laying around let me know

Well if your trannys grindin bad in every gear then its your clutch/flywheel problem its obviously not grabbing/holding.

if its certain gears youve got bad syncro's none of those would affect your difference in speeds now.....

mostly just different rim size/tire size.
