Default drivability with 8.1 lbs flywheel?

the flywheel's made by clutchmasters.

http://www.clutchmasters.com/s...=4867

how would this affect the daily drivability? would i have to double clutch+heel and toe every gear changes?

LW Flywheels dont affect driveability at all. I have 7.5lb Fidanza and I wish I went lighter.

Yea, it'll affect your drivability cuz you'll be flooring it each time cuz it just revs so fast!

like when i downshift, won't bring the rpm down a lot faster?

i mean, i enjoy heel and toe, double clutching...but not sure if i'd like it if i had to do it everytime i downshift...

It does drop pretty quick with the clutch in, but that's what syncro's are made for!

just rev match your downshifts, i dont have a light flywheel and i do anyways. it makes the ride much smoother once you can do it right

^^exactly. Not to mention saves your clutch and saves you from resurfacing that flywheel tens of thousands of miles sooner and buts you life on your synchros indefinitely. The amount of revving you probably do, should have no excuse for not rev-matching.

BTW, driving with a light flywheels is different - but drivability is pretty much the same. Holeshots with slicks is gonna be interesting though..

My buddy has a built NA B18C with a JUN flywheel. I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it's light enough that going from hard throttle to neutral sometimes causes the car to shut off . It revs so freely though...it's definately a mod I want to do in the near future.

i have zero problems with my findanza, you just have to not be afraid to lay into the throttle a little more. then you're fine. ill see how she likes boost once i get ahold of cft.

please give a legitimate reason then as to why you think it is too light. not some bs about stalling or no power going up hills, because that is the bs reasons most people give.

I have a built B18C too and my Fidanza flywheel is lighter than the JUN FW. I have no stalling problems like that. I think problems like that can be linked to an old IAC valve or something wrong with the idle system. Unfortunately I think the flywheel gets blamed all too often.

are these flywheels good for NA aplications

I want to get one when I do my clutch next spring. I beleive the ITR flywheel is 14lbs. but maybe I should go closer to 10? I don't want to go all out, but I'd ove a more responsive car.
