Fidanza flywheel making me lose rev?
I don't know about anyone else, but I have a 7.5 lb. fidanza flywheel, and from the 2nd to 3rd gear redline shift I Iose rpms fast. The tach will go from 8500 to 5000 faster than I can get the shift off making me fall below max boost (6K). Don't get me wrong I can drive, and shift fast too. Could the lightend flywheel be the reason?

um... yes.
less unsprung weight... causes it to rev faster which in turn means it will lose revs faster

what motor and tranny are you using?
on my b16a2 motor and b16 tranny when i was shifting at 8500rpm from 2nd to 3rd gear i was dropping from 8500rpm to 6000rpm.
I suppose on trannys such as the ls or gsr you would drop slightly further back to probably about 5500rpm because of the longer gear ratios???.....but i doubt very much that it would drop u far back as 5000rpm.
I love the way the car just revs up like a bike especially once u hit vtec and also the purpose of a lighter flywheel is to increase acceleration..... deceleration which also helps breaking. i personally would keep it
also Stop "Granny Shifting"

dude, thats kinda the point... by putting in a leighter flywheel you decrease the amount of rotating mass on the crankshaft ( like putting on light weight crank pullies and getting ride of PS and AC and all that ****) but you will gain quicker throttle response with the lighter FW... with there being less mass the flywheel will slowdown quicker and your rpms will fall off quick when shifting... some people love leight weight .. some people disagree with um.. i like mine.. its just kinda hard to get used to driving around town with the fidanza and a stage 3 clutch... good luck...
