Will a Type-R shifter fit okay in the 94-01 GSR's?

As far as I know it will fit just fine. Don't really know how much shorter the throw will be though

But the actual length of the shifter is shorter than the GSR shifter? Not the throw, but the height of the shifter.

shorter length is shorter throw... its basic geometry... hell I think I was doing that sort of **** back in grade school...

and I think the ITR shifter might very well be the same damn thing...

well, i have the jdm itr one, it is bronze coated. The gsr one was black...don't know whether they are the same other than the color.
