Default Thermostat Housing Ground

What wire needs to be grounded there?? On top there is a screw hole with no screw in it...is this the hole for the ground screw or what..what wire that is supposed to be grounded there, what does it control??

It is the main ground for your ECU and ALL of the engine sensors.

hmmmm, but if this was not grounded somewhere, would it even crank and would i get dash lights???
