buzzing/clicking main relay
I tore apart the car, cleaned painted everything. Put it back together.
I go to start it and my main relay clicks superfast and it wont crank, instead it clicks faster when i turn the key all the way.
Thermostat ground is good, i checked it with a test light and to the starter. If i took a wire from the thermostat ground and went to the chassis would this help if thats the problem?
Car ran fine before.

Splice the black wire and ground that. I've had this on two cars. It's annoying, but an easy fix.
Took me two months the first time. Theres an open somewhere in the grounding circuit, thats what causes it.

The black wire in the harness going into the main relay?
Today i checked it out a bit more, its working the fuel pump, because i had a fuel leak and im getting 30psi, so its atleast doing that.
I grounded my thermostat housing to the chassis by adding a wire in there, so that should be grounded twice now.
My stater wont crank though, so i took off the signal wire and the signal wire is getting 12v when i turn the key to the III position, i checked with a test light, so theres no reason starter shouldnt work, so it must be dead. It was giving me troubles before as well. New starter will be in tommorow morning.
Even if its the starter, the main relay still shouldnt be buzzing like crazy. Ill try grounding out that wire.
