The only thing I can come up with is a bad ground.. If it only one of the lights was flickering I'd say check the bulb itself, but since it's both.. That leads me to believe it's a ground.
Well i have a thick ground wire running from my engine to the chassis. The only thing i could remember is my cd changer has a ground wire that might of came loose...
could that be the prob?
my dash lights are fine.

I don't see how your CD player would affect your headlights. Try checking the connection, it may have came loose, or the condition of the connection just worsened over time.

That's what I was thinking, if it's flickering it sounds like your connection is loose and its vibrating, causing them to go off and on.

Yeah, if it's not a ground then it has to be the connection.
Take this for an example.. A battery with bad connector cables won't give the car adequte power and in many cases, the car will not run because of it. Think of it this way with your HIDs. They do work, but it looks like it's not getting a constant source of power, which leads me to believe that it's an issue with the connection.
