Ground Wire issue

I just recently put my motor back into my car, and hooked everything back up. I pulled the plugs and wires, and computer then cranked it. Then I put everything back on and went to crank it. It cranked but wouldn't fire, then the front ground wire started to smoke, and the plastic coating melted, and eventually it broke.
I'm going to pick up a new ground, but I need to know if anyone has had this problem before, I don't want to buy the new one then have it burn up too. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

That little one at the valve cover isn't big enough for the starter current by itself.

I put the ground wire from my other Integra on, and it didn't heat up. I have to mess with the distributor, I think I have the timing off. Anyone know where I can go and buy a new ground wire?
you can buy one from the Acura dealer, or just get a couple of terminals and some wire (8 gauge will be fine) from an audio place and make your own.
