i got an 96 ek hatch...needs a new windshield(its got a hairline crack in the middle),a paint job(half its primered,since i was gona get it painted,other half its silver)its got a small dent on the passenger side from someone opening the door without lookin, hood (metal hook on the hood its broken,was gettin a cf hood but not sure now)so its bein held by hood pins,and its got door popers(came with car i hate them)its also gutted from the carpeting all the way to the back, i got a tanabe exhaust on it, del sol seats, rims,lowering springs and a rear strut bar .....now for the delima

this kid i know has an eg vx hatch...need a paint job(door its black), lil rust ( and i mean minute), fenders are lil banged up but its not noticable its lowered kyb shocks and springs ,its got 167,000 stock wheels intake no exhaust, roof has minor dents on it,
always wanted an eg, i asked him if i trade i keep my rims, exhaust and seats?

should i do it?

just a couple questions?
1. would my rear upper strut tower from my ek fit the eg?

2.i got a 93 soch vtec head..but it doesnt have the dist,cam,cam gear,rocker arm assembly...do u think all this would swap over from head to head?

Try a search on your ?'s as there is tons of input on both.

 

the strut bar will fit. i searched for ya and 92-95 and 96-00 civics share the same part number for the rear.

the head will fit because my friend di the opposite, he put a Y8 head on a d16z6.

hm...trade an EK for an EG? regardless of what you both have done to your car i wouldn't do it. just because an EK is worth a lot more then an EG. maybe atleast trade him plus him throw in cash too with the trade.

 

even with keepin my seats and muffler..?

It's all about what YOU want. Even though an EK may be worth more I don't think they're as cool lookin as an EG. IMO
