Default Time for a new engine...

2004.9.23

My EG Civic Coupe is finally getting to its last legs on its stock motor. I've been waiting to change the whole engine when the motor finally started to kick the bucket, guess that time is coming...

SO, since I live in California, anyone know what motor choices are available to put into the EG Coupe? I'm concerned with smog issues and legality in addition to hearing various rumors and opinions as to what/which motors are legal and smog approved.

Any definitive info is appreciated. I'm not looking to build a Vette eater or anything, just an upgrade over my SOHC D15 engine. Oh, and if possible, list motors that can be smogged by ANY referee, not just this guy in LA I hear about (laugh). Thanks!

Yeah search around, basically you could smog anything that comes out of another CAR (not truck) as it was off the dealer, and it has to be your year or newer.
