Default LS/vtec yet another problem

My vtec will not crossover

i am running a chipped p28 with a ITR program

i have a 94 ls bottom end and 2000 si head plus
all the other stuff that you need.

i have checked wiring and solenoid and swapped ecu's what else could it be?

although i do not have a oil pressure gauge. so that could be one problem.

You may want to check your oil pressure, because that has a part with the vtec process. Also are you throwing any CEL's?

I just finnished my LS/Vtec after 3 mounths of troubleshooting the same problem and come to find out my main berrings were bad. Im not saying thats the problem but there are a lot of things you need to check in the very sensative vtec oil system remember thats all it is "oil pressure". Test the oil pressure coming into the head via oil line then test the pressure after the solinoid while the solinoid is "open" shorted. Then make sure the iol passage under the head is seald shut or pluged then let me know from there. Let me guess no CEL if not try to get into the upper rpms around 6k for more than 5 sec to see if you trip CEL for vtec oil press switch if so try new sw. **** I could go on all night withe the testing Ive done on this monstar setup.

if the feed was too big and the pressure was less then requierd you would get CEL 22 on obd1 vtec oil press switch since this is not happening i believe that you oil is not the problem at least to that point its not the prob.
