Default I need to fix these minor issues, but I'm not sure what they are!

Hey guys, I'm having some minor issues that I'd like to resolve.

Issue #1: Edit: Resolved I don't hit full boost until late. I would say maybe 5500RPM. I have a LS motor, HKS manifold, Garrett T28 .60ar compressor/.87ar exhaust. All the vacuum lines are new, so that's ruled out. All the piping is secure, there are no holes and nothing is loose. The car also overboosts at the end of 4th gear. In every other gear it will hold 9psi. At the end of 4th, it will spike and the map sensor codes. I don't have a boost controller, and the turbo is internally wastegated. Could it be possible my flapper is not closing all the way? It doesn't look like the arm on the wastegate is threaded enough. Would a boost controller help any of this?

Issue #2: My car smokes, from the rear. The smoke is blue. I'm not really burning oil. My compression is perfect. Everything on the motor is brand new. Could it be my turbo seals? I don't think it really smokes on acceleration, just idle. It may when I accelerate though, I'm not 100% sure.

The car is running mint other than these two issues. I want to get them resolved this week. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks

what size downpipe/exhuast are you running? I've read about people having spiking problems with a greddy turbo when they run big pipes. Has something to do with the internal wastegate.

2.5" all the way through to a magnaflow muffler. No cat.

Smoke on idle makes me think your oil return line is not working perfectly. What does it look like?

Boost issue is resolved. Still creeps a little at the end of 4th though, maybe a boost controller will help that. I just had to tighten the the wastegate arm a little. The flapper wasn't closed all the way.

Anyone have any other ideas on the smoking? I think it got a little worse since I fixed the other issue, which leads me to believe it's the turbo seals.
