Going into limp mode-Not sure why
Ok, my civic does fine under 7 or lower psi. As soon as I switch to high boost (about 10 psi), I get almost to the top of second and it goes into limp/safe mode and I can't get it over 3400 rpm. I'm not sure if it's the clutch that can't handle the torque so it overrevs or I'm not bleeding out enough manifold pressure through my check valve. I'm just using 2 regular gm check valves in between the map and the manifold but I've been thinking of using the missing link for awhile. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I am thinking maybe some boost is making it past your check valves. if you are running stock ecu and the map sensor sees any boost it is going to be pissed.
id bet that somehow your map sensor is seeing over 10.6psi. wether your running over 10psi or u spike to over 10 i dunno, but i would go back over the check valves. if u are really wanting to run alot of boost, look into 3bar sensors..if your car is obd1, get a 3bar and use uberdata for tuning
