Default Looking for best price: 3-Bar Map Sensor

Im curious to find the best online price for a 3 bar map sensor, because GM-parts direct is selling the new P/n, and you have to buy that connector.. which instead of being a 60 or so dollar part, drives the price up to 90 bucks!

thanks for your help!

edit: didnt read your post, You should be able to modify the old harness I think you just have to cut a slit out of one of the plastic tubes the pin sits inside

Hondata wants $90 for their sensor, if the only difference is slotting the connector.. thats easy, i dont mind hacking it some!

i really appreciate the quick responses!

Here is a link where you can decipher what gm map you have so u dont get scammed.....I honestly apologize I thought newer cameros, corvettes, firebirds etc came with 3 bar maps...stupid me, I should have researched more before I went and bought that one, haha oh well...Ill just take it back. Thats what happens when you are scavenging a salvage yard and you see a late model camero and the 3 bar map pops in yur head so you grab it and go (spur of the moment thing).... Anyway after further research I found the info I needed and realize that gm has 3 map sensors that all look the same and that link shows how to tell which one you have.....Well its true you learn somethin new everyday and I did....did a little research and found a lot of information, good thing I have a few months till I actually need to use one so time to save up to buy one.....Again sorry for the stupidity and mis information

no they are just a std map as we have in hondas, they look identical though....thats what through me off, I should have done the research before i looked into getting a 3 bar, cause i thought the same as you.....those 2 links i showed explain what the 3 bar came off of and everything

Did all 89 cameros have 3bars? They came with 3 different engines.

EDIT: i think its just the 3.8 liter chevy turbo motors. Anyone know for sure?
