Which is better a b16a2 or a d16 turbo?
I am buying a swap this weekend and I have $2300 to play with.I can get a d16z6 for $400 and a greddy kit w/ intercooler for $1400.I also like the b16a2, i'm not big on gsr's I like to be the underdog.I gotta 92 hatch.please give me your opinions I really need them. Thanks
This has been covered time after time after time. Familiarize yourself with the search button.
EDIT: After trying to find something I found out it's not coming up with anything.
Turbo D16= faster now for less money
B16= more potential but slower now for more money.
End of story.

go with the potential to do more. B16 then save for turbo. I had a friend who had a d series turbo and the speed is equivilent to a slightly modified b16 or b18. (basic mods exsaust, intake, header, clutch, flywheel) Just imagine the power of Bseries TURBO
I got a GSR turbo and lovin it.

I can't believe Im getting into another one of these threads. For me, the mid 13 second 1/4 mile you can attain with a turbo D was more than enough. Unless you have aspirations to break into the 12s (which you can do on a turbo D btw) you may as well just slap a turbo on what you have now, save some money and be faster than ANY basic B16 swap I have EVER seen or heard of.
