You can get more out of a D16 turbo than a B16...though u'll need a good tune on that D16, it's also a lot cheaper

ive herd that d16 turbos are alot of fun.. but i would rather go with the b16a... theres nothing like hitting vtech all the way to 8.5 k rpm.... n then after u get the b16 save up for a turbo.... btw im selling a motor pm me if u want info

i'd go w/ the d turbo u'll make more power easier. buy a turbo kit like apexi or greddy makes, or build one yourself. homemadeturbo.com would help u out w/ that

sohc turbo will make more power. but i agree with chuniepatuni. put in the b-series play with it for a while and then turbo that bitch. that way you learn, have fun, and try different ****.

there are lots of topics about the debate of SOHC turbo or go b series.. the weak link in the D series is the rods. so if you boost it you better be ready for tuning cause it only takes a little bit to blow a rod in those motors.

a low boost (6-9 psi) would net more HP then a B16 and the spool time would simulate the time it takes for the b16 to hit VTEC (not vtech...i thaught all the poeple that said vtech learned their lessons by now...)

My buddies got a d16y8 in his hatch. He through on some ARP's, got and good tune from redzone performance, and is running well at 10psi off an edelbrock kit. to me b16a's are crap and V-TEC is overrated. Get a b18b1 then boost. thats my opinion

hell ya think of money to power ratio, same cost and ull prolly have 200 or more hp and ur gunna have more torque with the turbo after it starts spooling

thats why the b16 has more torque its bore is big as expletive and it gets torque at higer rpm d series turbo , haha i have both a b16a being builtand a dseries turbo about to go back in my car lol

the b16 has more tourque?? lol displacement of a d16?? 1590.. displacement of a b16?? 1595.. so i guess 5cc is big as expletive eh?? lol

anyway d16= 127/103 b16 ( depending on what gen 0 160/111 -170/113

if u turbo ur d.. it could cost you maybe 1200.. or u can take the money for the b swap.. and build the d with tt rods and vitara pistons then turbo it and have over 300whp...

its just all up to you.. i honestly go with d series because all the b heads get rid of them for cheap.. and its what u already have in ur car.. no new axles or any of that crap and i actually like to BUILD my motor.. not just buy a fast motor lol

i didnt say a damn think about cc man, if u knew anything about building engines u would know what bore means, bigger bore and longer stroke gets you torque, thats why the b16 has more torque than a d series, ever comapr the 2? its like this the d16 is a longer stroke but skinner bore, how it gets its 1600

the b series shorter stroke wider bore, how it gets its 1600

turbos add torque at higer rpm, go read a dyno chart before u open ur unknoledgible ***

also arguement that says u dun ned torque think again, if u only had low enf ud get to a certain rpm and just creep, like bareley up the rpm scale, that why when u floor it in a hinda u basically waste ur time until 3500, and dont type that vtec bullshit, that maye give you a boost in power becuase of the timing change, but thats where the engines torque curve is

lmfao.. yea i know about engine building... but <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by spork motorsports &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">bigger bore and longer stroke gets you torque</TD></TR></TABLE>

d16 has longer stroke smaller bore... b16 has shorter stroke bigger bore?? wich one is it lmfao......

im not going to argue with u over 7 ft pounds of tq between a d16 and b16.. maybe the 30 hp but not tq because i know the price it takes u to buy a b16.. i can BUILD my d16 and have 280-340whp.. and hand ur b16's *** to u
