half shafts stuck!!
its stuck in the tranny? pop off the lower balljoint so you can move the knuckle out of the way, pop off the axle retaining bolt on the hub, pull the axle out of the knuckle, then yank the sucker out of the tranny! if it doesnt want to move at first, yank it harder, it will come out
this may be a stupid question
but have you loostened up all THREE blots that attach it to the block
it should just pop right out. i have never had any problems withe getting one out, but getting one int is a different story. sometomes the little c-clip likes to be stubborn.

yeah have you removed the 3 bolts that attach it to the block. If you haven't thats the problem. The half shaft is usually the easiest to of the two axles and its self to get out. And for me it goes in just as easy as it comes out. If it does kinda give you a little trouble just use a screwdriver as leverage to push it out of the transmission.

guys i understand completely for you asking if i took out the three bolts and if course i have. i do trannys often for friends ect but i've never had one get stuck like this. they always just pop right out with a little tap if needed. i just dont understand. is it possible that it could be bent from when the diff broke? i mean the least amount would not let it out.
When i was taking mine apart from my diff blowing up, It slid right out, almost too easy. I can imagine it being beny or anything. Try getting some wd 40 in there, possibly from the other side, and then give it a pull.
