Default ??? on full-race a/c manifold

hey guys
im trying to decide on what manifold to purchase, the thing is i want to retain my a/c. i have a 2000 GSR coupe and will be using a straight t4 turbo and a 3" dp... i was jus wondering if the full-race a/c manifold would allow me to use a 3" dp...
will there be enough room for the 3" dp without getting in the way of the a/c unit?
thanx for your help

It is very do-able but the use of a t4 will require that whoever does the install needs to be a competent mechanic.

what do you exactly mean by competent???? is there anything special that you have to do as in cutting?... jus wondering b/c me and my friends plan on doing the install ourselves (dont have money to get it installed, costs too much), we have done a motor swap and regular exhausts, suspension, headgaskets and stuff.. so would that mean we would be competent enough to do it... haha
thanx for your info and help

its a tough install. you need good tools, and you need to understand how a turbo works. if youre trying to put a t4 in a car and its your first turbo install you will probably have a really hard time doing it

i strongly reocmmend losing the AC. it makes the car soooooooooooo mcuh easier to work on.

Sounds to me, that you don't want to weld up another A/C unit.

ok thanx for your help... but basically it will fit with the a/c unit still in place. will there be any heating issues of the downpipe being too close to the a/c unit that it will melt the belt on the a/c unit?... also how much clearance would there be between the a/c unit and the dp

I have the same question, but with a t3/60-1. Losing a/c is not a choice, down here it gets pretty hot in the summer with high humidity.

Do you all (full-race) make a a/c manifold kit for a EK chasis or just the manifold?

we dont mind welding them, you juyst have to be prepared for the install

we do make a complete kit for a B series with AC in an EK chassis. Check out our Si on the site

as far as the DP being too close to the compressor -- we havent had any problems yet in arizona (pretty hot) but who knows what will happen over time. There is about 1/2" clearance
