Default Can some of you guys with SOHC Turbos CRXs/hatchs post your setups + Times?

Would love to hear whos running what, if its a junkyard setup or store bought setup up and your times.

I can't post this in the FI forum so don't bother telling it to me. it wouldn't let me

- d16y7/8 Ported, multi-angle valve job head
- jg cam
- thicker head gasket
- stock bottom end
- custom drag turbo kit w/ turbonetics t3 turbo, custom IC piping, drag manifold, drag downpipe
- test pipe, tanabe 2.5 in. catback
- walbro 255lph fuel pump
- b&m fpr
- dsm 450cc inj.
- act hd pressure plate, extreme disc
- msd 6AL ignition
- hondata s200 setup for boost, and tuned by frank from RACETUNE
- boosted 11lbs daily

Time:
13.6 @ 114mph on street tires

dude, get some better traction,a dn you'll nail a 12 second 1/4 easily, that trap is nice.

Im guessing hes 7-9psi.

But about your valve job, 3 or 5 angle?

Im doing a junkyard turbo this summer after I finish building the block in m class and will be boosting 13-15 daily on a sohc zc

It has to do with the way the angle the valve when they give it a valve job. Not positive on this tho.

Its all about the way that the air comes in during the intake stroke and how it is exposed during the exhaust stroke. The smoother the air can go in the less swirling that you will get. Most people get a 3angle because its a lot cheaper and to do a 5 you must have very good skill.

thanks guys. so 5 angle has a more curviture to it thus its better for the flow of the air right?

it was on 11 lbs of boost, and a 5 angle job A d16y7 block with a y8 head. The y8 head is the SOHC VTEC

if a 5 angle is that much better than a 3 angle is debateable. I know some people that use a radius cut though.

Honestly.... the difference between a 3 angle and 5 angle doesn't really matter when you're forcing the air in anyway.

9.1@82mph doesnt add up. thats a crazy high mph for the 1/8 and for low 9s
