Default oil pressure problem with LS/vtec turbo. no vtec

See if some can help me out with this.
I am running a LS /vtec that we installed a turbo on monday. Before the turbo the motor would run abput 80 PSI of oil pressure before vtec hit. The oil feed for the turbo was added to the to the same tee. now it runs 55-60PSI before vtec. Vtec will come on but then it falls back out. (to little oil pressure??)
whats you guys thoughts?
Thanks

doesn't seem that hard of a decsion to me. Find another spot to take your oil feed for the turbo. Or just get a GE oil filter adapter with the multi ports and call it a day.

What size oil lines are you using to feed the cyl head and turbo? Where does the turbo line tee into the cyl head line?
Once the Vtec spool opens the oil consumption rate will increase. Sounds like the set-up you are running can't support enough to keep Vtec oil psi above desired pressures.
I have good luck using a 6AN line to the cylinder head while stealing oil just before the cyl head fitting to use for the turbo lube. I stick to a 3AN turbo line. Although I just switched to a GEM adapter, keep the 6AN feed to the cyl head, and am using a 4AN restricted feed to the turbo. No cyl head oil starvation, no oil carryover at the turbo, runs great.
I'd say up your main feed from 4AN to 6AN and possibly use a tee with larger internal openings.....you will probably not have any problems then.

There is a Tee mounted on the firewall a 4AN line from the block to the tee. the head is fed thru a 4an and the turbo thru a line one size smaller (6an? I think?)
Thanks for the help guys

GSR pump should be fine. I would suggest to get the Golden Eagle adapter and use that for your feed lines. Do you have a reducer in your turbo feed line?

i don't like the way the fitting comes off the block. I've seen those fittings break off the block and people lose there motors behind it.......just my .02. otherwise looks good except for the manifold. I ran my line with that heavy fitting mounted on the firewall so it wont put stress on the block

that's cool it just happend to my buddies block from viberation, just don't want to see it happen on a good motor. I think that's the worst way to lose a motor.
