I dont know how true this is but i've been told that with stock internals you can boost a d16 to 10psi and run about 210hp before you have to worry about it blowing up.

once having a D16A6 and turboing it with fuel management and what not, i do not recommend more then 7 psi on stock internals, but as you said, you have forged rods so it should hold more, but any engine is a dead engine without proper tuning and management

you don't recommend more than 7 psi? rofl!! http://www.homemadeturbo.com go to the forums and ask around.. ppl run 12 PSI on stock internals SAFELY for like 1-3 years. with your setup and proper fuel and timing you should be able to do 15-18 psi safely

yes thank you, i am on thoes boards too, and most guys run 7 - 10 psi, and look at the blown motors section, thoes were all factory internals running more then 8 psi, you never turboed a honda did you? have you ever even made a HMT setup? i doubt it, because anybody that has, knows a honda motor wont survive long on 18 psi with stock internals.

consider asking that in turbo section, most bench racers here do not have personal experience and just propagate rumours.

i run 10-11 on mine all the time, but get much closer to 14psi and you're just peeing on the electric fence. sooner than later its gonna let go.
