Re: How many lbs can i boost?
should be asking what is a safe WHP for your setup, PSI means nothing really. 10 PSI from lets say a GT28 wouldn't be any where near what 10 psi from a GT35 would make in WHP etc

HarfordCTR's advice is very true. What turbo will you be running? With your set up, the weakness will be your sleeves and fuel. Did you upgrade your fuel pump? I personally wouldn't run the stock sleeves over 350whp, but some people on here are running over 600

You should not be basing your goals in terms of PSI. With a stock-sleeve engine with forged internals, you're looking at a MAX of 550whp with a good tune and sufficient fuel. For example, i'm shooting for 450whp this summer on the setup listed in my sig. That's a pretty safe range considering the compression, turbo and fuel i'm running. There are more variables in this decision than just the pressure ratio.

Did you read the thread Schister? That point has been made. I based my PSI recommendation on him saying he has a sc61. Like you I think E85 is a good idea but I dont think 400 - 500 whp on stock sleeves is a good idea.

Re: How many lbs can i boost?
550cc injectors are gonna max at about 300-350whp so thats a bigger factor than the motor setup. with bgger injectors i think you could run 400whp (maybe 14psi)

With his engine setup, 350whp is pretty lame. I would be disappointed if i were running a sub-400whp setup on a built engine. There is no point to limit yourself to 350whp...hundreds of people push stock sleeves much further.

I skim threads...the majority of replies are useless to me. I state my point based on the information given and move along. I may have reiterated something that was previously stated, but it adds to the credit of the original. As for the SC61, if he's running such a large turbo with higher flow rates, why limit him to 350whp? If i were to shoot for 350whp, i would have gotten a properly sized turbo for the job.
