Tanabe is crap!
I dont really know how long the Tanabe G-Power muffler had been on my car...because it came on the car when I bought it...but the baffling has been broken inside for months and the rattling was driving me insane!
I thought that was the bad part...but there was more disapointment!
The Tanabe piping is 2.36" ID...which is a nice size. But...upon cutting the piping off the muffler to use with my new ES muffler...I look inside..and the piping inside the actual muffler is maybe 2"!!! Probably closer to 1.75"...what the hell is up with that?!

Was the 2.36" some advertised thickness? Maybe it is the outside diameter? But then, that means the piping material is around 0.3" thick?
WTF

Re: Tanabe is crap! (DeceitfulCivic)
I had a G Power on my Prelude for a few years. I had looked inside and noticed that it was just as large as the piping. I never had any problems with it. In fact, I think it is probably one of the best exhausts on the market. I would not expect any less from Mackin Industries (Tanabe Manufacure) who also makes Volk.
