Default Faced with a tough decision..

Hey guys, I had my car tuned last week. It wasn't the tune I wanted so I'm heading back to get it retuned at another shop(richen it up). I hit around 250 at 12psi on a dynojet with my D16Z6. Since then I've removed the cat which should make up for the conservative tune so numbers should be close to what they were.

Anyway, I've been really struggling to make a decision. Sleeves are stock, block is posted. Do I up the boost until I hit 300whp? Or just stay around 250 and not worry? I'd rather have a motor to boost than no motor at all.. my original goal when starting the project was to hit 300, but after seeing the money and time that has gone into this project I dunno.. It has held at 250 with a bad tune, so I would think it would hold at 300 with a good tune. Sleeves are the only limiting factor besides the stock head and stock intake manifold What do you think? Thanks for your input.

Nate

Sleeves are stock. CP pistons and eagle rods. Probably won't make the decision until the car is on the dyno It's up to me, but I hate making the call..

I'm gonna go for it then... It's a sohc, blocks are cheap

hybridvteceg, they are the posts from ENDYN. Some say good, some say bad about posting. If I would have done it again I would have left the block completely stock. If it's held up to 250, I don't see a problem with a little more. Friday the 13th is tuning day, but it's all good

I don't think the head and IM are going to be restrictions @300whp.

If your tune is decent I would run it at about 320whp with what you have. The torque you'll have with the 320hp would be just awesome!! 250tq maybe? I would do 260+hp stock block myself.
