missing link map bypass valve issue
I have a 00 Honda Civic Si, turbod and have no standalone or vafc, cause of this my check engine light has been on. so. . . . i bought and installed a missing link map bypass valve cause i hear that it eliminates the issue. installed it and cleared the map ecu code and took it for a test drive. now. . whenever the turbo starts spooling up and i start to get on it, it starts pausing (pressing on the gas and not getting any response, then it will respond. . . on and off)
i don't know anything about the missing link, will it restrict airflow and not give me proper A/F mixture. i'm running rich as it is so i can't get a good read from my guage.
any help would be great!
thanks

I have been having the same problem with my turbo setup. I do have the Missing Link as you do, and I have an MF2 controller. My Check engine light is on and whenever i get on it it starts flashing and the car hesitates like u said on and off. Its quite disturbing. I'd like to hear a response on this too.
ok, i just found out some info. with a greddy kit if you have the blue box it should prevent the map sensor error if it is wired correctly should be map out to the ecu in and the ecu out to the blue box in to the map in. all connections should be soldered and not crimped (in my case they were crimped) just that alone can cause the CEL, so hopefully if i double check the wiring and solder the connections it should be all good.

Did anyone make a good wiring diagram of how to use the blue box with a vafc II. I ahve this connection and do i also need the missing link as well? or will the blue box take care of this problem.

You shouldn't be using the missing link, then. Perhaps you should check to see what trouble code is in the ecu for the CEL. The CEL is not an annoying light, it comes on because your ecu is trying to tell you something!
