The mugen advances the timing to much- I am not familiar with a pr3

obd1 pr3 is basicly a p30 so it should be fine.

Depends if it's an OBD0 or OBD1 PR3, and if the "chipping" was done properly, you can just replace it with a turbo chip.

I am running a pr3 obd0 ecu with a vafc and mine runs fine, but I would like to find a chip to fully use the turbo

I'm sure J.Davis can hook you up. Customer support unparallel.

Actually, I have MAPhack .bins for OBD0 PR3/PW0 running AFC hack, they handle your ignition retard, but I am 1) a slacker and 2) swamped with what little work i can handle right now.

You can try back in a couple weeks with me, or I am sure PHiZ's total package tuning services could chip/socket/return ship your ECU with said program in a prompt and professional fashion. They are up on PGMFI somewhere, he's free to run with them, as is anyone with a chip burner and inclination.

FYI, JalopySiR dyno'd 206 whp on B20B @ 6 psi with one of my MAPhack .bins and some AFC tuning. Good AFR, and correct ignition.

From the post I was under the impression he had both a Mugen chipped ECU and a obd1 PR3. Your right a chipped ecu is not good for boost but the stock PR3 would work fine which is what I said.

Well, rereading his post closely, I really can't figure it out either way as it's not extremely coherent. Sorry if I jumped at you.
