EK Kill Switch...
my gf's civic just got stolen and raised concern for my car. I was thinking of putting in the kill switch. I don't really want to cut the wire going to my fuel pump so instead, I want to do something to the ignition instead. Can someone tell me where and what wire I need to tap into? This is for an 97 Civic

Ignition kill can be easily bypassed.
That is what the stock honda alarm does, kill ignitions, you hear about them bitches being stolen everyday. You can run power from battery to ignition to get it to work.
Its better to wire one or two or three to your Fuel pump and possibly main relay. Ecu fuse is another good one but everytime you turn this off, it will erase your preset radio stations/time etc.....
I use fuel pump wires. ITs a green wire w/yellow stripe.

could not have said it better....
but do a fuel cut off, battery, door studs, remove ecu, removable steering wheel, quick release drivers side front wheel, bike chain from tow hook.

im not gonna give you all my tricks, just trying to help.
Anybody that knows about hondas would know where the damn fuel pump wires are.
Any good theif will know when he tries to start car, no fuel or spark, car won't turn over and then he can figure out what to do to bypass it.
This is not my only form of theft deterrent.
CCTV from inside my house work great also. That way I got those ******* on video too!!

MY buddy had a camera in his parking garage facing his car and he had it wired up to play on his tv 9 floors up(b/c of various break-ins to his car b4). one day he showed me footage of a thief who got into the garage and broke into several cars luckily bypassing his..... the fuked up thing was that the new management made him take down the camera due to privacy reasons,

a kill switch is no threat to a thief with a tow truck...
if you're not familiar with eletrical components... i'd reccommend having an "expert" at least help with the install.

easily bypassed? doesnt that mean you'd have to run a wire from the battery to the inside of the car? that is too much hassle for a thief. do you want to know how i know? cause i met some people who steal cars. and we had a talk about why they do it, how they do it, and what they wont mess with.
ignition kill switch is just as good as a fuel pump switch. cause at the ignition side it kills everything if the car get be set to "on".
im not talkin about the starter kill switch thing either. thats obviously a waste of time.
