Default fuel kill switch....

i want to install a kill switch for my fuel pump on my 96 civic ex and i read up on it and found out about the yellow/green wire that you put the switch to to control the fuel pump...

but wouldnt that mean if you did hook the switch right to the wire and you accidentally left it on after turning your car off it would keep the fuel pump on??
And is that what the relays are for??

no if you left the switch on fuel would not be pumping. thats only if you hooked the switch up with power. cut the yel/grn wire and wire each side to both sides of the switch.

to the wire power is received only when ignition is on....its not a constant 12v going to the pump.

that wire only receives power when u turn on the ignition....its not a constant power wire
