need help with kill switch
Ok so I figured this would be the best section to post this in... Here's the background of everything...
My buddy installed a kill switch for the fuel pump. He cut the yellow wire with the green stripe and connected it from there, but instead of cutting the wire by the ecu, he cut it in the back by the pump. Now we had wired it up and the car wasn't starting, it would crank but it sounded like it wasn't getting enough fuel or no fuel at all. Well I replaced the PGMFI relay thinking thats what was causing the fuel pump to not prime but we still had the same problem. Then he cut the wire for the stock alarm that our cars came with and wired in the switch there then the car worked. Well driving home one day the car randomly cut out on me and I couldn't get it started again. So now I've looked over the wiring for the kill switch nothing is wrong, checked the wire at the ecu to make sure it didn't get pulled out, changed the fuel pump with my walbro, changed the relay again and the car still isn't working and I'm all out of options as to what it could be. So someone who is good with electrical problems please help me!! Its a d16y8 motor for anyone who needs to know and its obd2a.

Re: need help with kill switch
Wait, so is the kill switch still installed? My guess is your problem lies there. Maybe a bad solder joint with the wires or you used crappy wire that's shorting out?
