I have a hks boost gauge instaleld in my car even tho my turbo kit is off. Unfortunately today i was driving and florred it and the gauge read slightly passed 0(in the boost area). Could it be the guage just being a little off calibration or is a blown ring?

 

how would blown rings cause boost?

 

im not saying it made boost... the guage has vaccuum and boost, when u floor an engine it goes to zero vacuum correct??? Well my gauge is reading into positive vaccuum, slightly above the zero. Im not saying its boost, im saying iof a ring was friend than there would be air escaping

 

is there any smoke?

 

Its just the guage....unless your running a sneaky pete electric turbo!!

 

nah no smoke at all, the car runs beautifully
