Boost Gauge
I hooked up my boost gauge recently but don't have my turbo installed yet is it normal for it to be reading -20 when my car is running? I'm new to the turbo thing and was curious when I start my car and its just idoling will the boost build or does the engine have to be working like i'd have to be accelerating to see boost?

Re: Boost Gauge (nicktagz)
Yes. When the piston moves down during the intake cycle, it creates that vacuum. Boost will not build up at idle. Depending on the turbo size, it will vary when it will hit full boost.

20 sounds about right, but where you mount the boost gauge when you don't even have a turbo installed

Re: Boost Gauge (iam7head)
Thats what I figured. I'm installing the turbo soon just waiting for my manifold to arrive and figured I'd start installing things. By chance does anyone know where to get a cheap missing link piece for 97 accord the ones on ebay are like $60.
