Default what tranny

I'm in need of new synchros in 2nd and 5th gears in my gsr tranny. I'm gonna just put a new tranny in. Which one should I use? I'm gonna take the car to the track so keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that cost is a big issue, I'm married with 2 kids so money doesn't just jump out at me.

Common sense tells you the Type-R then B16 followed by GSR. But since money is always a factor, find the best one you can for what your money allows.

are you staying n/a or going boost? if n/a and moey allows then get the type-r. otherwise get the si tranny....... on the other hand, if cost is a factor, get the gsr and save on gas money. the gsr is also better if you decide to boost the motor.

sounds good to me......something that has LSD if you can afford it would be good too!

im going to go with the b16 tranny. it has short gears, and you can put a helical LSD in whenever you have time/money

Id vote Type-R, I always thought it had a shorter ratio than a b16.
OT: What time is the eagles game?????
Thanks

type r if money allows. then b16 is next best for gearing but the b16's are a weaker tranny. the syncros and the diff are the weaker than the gsr/type r.

for boost, the gsr tranny will be best.
