I had it in my previous 97R with the 10,000 yen plug and play harness.
Sometimes it disagree with the OBD2 and check engine lights comes on.
It screws up the ECU into failsafe mode.
I got tired of it and did nothing for stock motor application, just lower the vtec into a
noise maker. Sold it to some civic kid.

if you have cams and a setup that call for a vtec controller and fuel adjustments it can be a good little tool for some good horsepower on the dyno.... On the dyno . I have one on my b18c5 and its working fine. i have an obd2-obd1 setup and have no problems. One thing..wiring is CRUCIAL. Solder (sp) dont splice.
That little box has bee around forever. It is proven and works when used correctly. I like it cause it doesnt scream "hey i got a vtec controller " in a huge Indiglo display like the apexi. Way too much for me. The Fields you can hide it anywhere.
if you do decide to sell it...dont go for the apexi which does basically the same thing (with a few other unique features)..just go HONDATA.

Rpms are quite off compare to what? Your speedometer? If so, the Fields is the currect RPM display, becaue oem speedometer is 2~300 rpms off.

The Field vtec controller reads in RPM and has a speedo which can be changed from mph to kilometers. It has a shift chime which is great.

ahh well anyways i disconnected the fuel controller function and just used it as a vtec controller.. the check engine light keeps coming on.. but the rpms at idle are off ~300 but when my tach is at 3000 the field shows like ~3900 - ~4000 rpm..
