Default Hissing noise after header install?

I just installed my DC 4-1 header the other night. After the install there was a hissing noise coming from the engine bay. Could this be a result of increased airflow? TIA

Exhaust leak. Did you torque the bolts to the specs?

I had to use just a wratchet for the install. Shoud it go away if torque them to specs?

Make sure you bolted the header on flush with the head. You might have it wedged with the block (yeah, I did it when I did it the first time). Also make sure your gasket is good.

I tightened mine down with a ratchet and they should be fine but double check them and also check your bolts where it bolts up to the cat or etst pipe.

its def an exhaust leak.. it could be loose bolts .. i would invest in a torque wrench ... i'm not trying to be a dick ut there is a reason for torqueing stuff.. so def torque them down to spec.. def dont want them to be over or under tightened.. i would also replace the gasket even if the old one looked fine.. its only a few bucks

dc sport headers all make a slight hissing noise do to the thinner metal they use, it is normal

Just double check to make sure the bolts on the head is tight, and the bolts that go to your cat are tight, if that doesnt stop it, then try taking it to a muffler shop and maybe the header mihgt be cracked? Did you buy it used or new? Also maybe what cheeseface123 is saying might be true. Ive never heard of that before but maybe. I dont really remember my friends making a hissing noise but ya never know...

um that doesn't sound right, why would the thickness of the metal have ne thing to do with it? as long as there are no holes in it and it sits flush against the head w/ a proper gasket there should be no hissing hence indicating a leak. if this was true for all dc sport headers do you really think theyd do the business they do now? i would send my **** back lickity split!
