TURBO GSR PISTONS????
Im gettin ready to run a t3/t4 57trim on my gsr with a built motor. Ive got my rods picked out and i plan on running serious boost at the track, but im not sure what pistons to run. I know i want to run 9.0:1 compression but ive heard there have been problems with JE pistons as of recent. What are yall opinions on pistons. Im lookin at Arias, JE, SRP, and Wiesco.

Sounds like more BS to discredit a very good company that makes very good pistons. Stop spreading mis-information. If you have not the experienced yourself then it probably didn't happened. Unless you've got pictures, but then it was probably a crappy tune.
BTW ENDYN uses custom JE pistons... Just food for thought. CP's are nice though.

Im not spreading mis-information, I was asking if others had heard this, I heard it from Race Engineering, a reputable company that sells JE, thats why I asked. What would I gain by discrediting a company like JE....

I've never had a problem with JE's.
The problem is not correctly gapping the rings for turbo applications or improper piston to wall clearance.

I think they were talking about SRP pistons, which are a brand of JE pistons. SRP's are a high silicone forging and don't take too kindly to a lot of boost. IMHO, any of the big name piston makers are great (JE, Arias, CP, Wiseco, Ross, Diamond, etc)
