Boost on stock internals
I did a search and didnt come up with anything. I have a 98 GSR and i was wondering what's the highest PSI i could run with it still being safe (meaning without blowing up my motor) I was thinking about running 8 but a few friends told me i would be fin on 10. Any info would be great
You have a lot more searching to do, but I am in a good and generous mood today
PSI does not matter so much really, as a big turbo at 10 psi can make the same power as a small one at 20 psi. You want to ask how much power can your stock engine handle. The general rule of thumb is 300whp max, but if you are special you can do more.

Are you sure that you searched, lol. You shouldn't have any problems at all running 10 psi on your gsr. Just make sure you have some sort of fuel management like hondata, aem, motec, or even uberdata chrome, etc. They are many different systems out there that can do the job, it just all depends what your hp goal is and how much you want to spend. Hope this helps.

don't worry about how much psi you can run. on a stock motor you can usually safely make 270 + whp
and if you don't care about your motor ... turn it up a little more and find out what the limits of your motor are and share with the rest of us

On a GSR motor I would be a little more careful just due to the fact they are much more expensive to replace. I have an LS and they are a dime a dozen so once "someone" comes out and tunes my sh*t I will be turning up the boost!

Bone stock internal D16Y8 with 12lbs. of boost daily driven for 3 years now and never had a problem (120,000k). The key to making the motor last long is proper fuel and ignition tuning. I would spend some money and have a professional tuning shop dyno tune it. Im making 235whp with a 13.7 1/4 @104mph.
