Default turbocharged b18c1 with stock internals question

K here is my question i'm going to get a b18c1 and a rev hard 2c (keeping ac) at 10 psi with stock internals...do you think I will run into any problems with this? Later when I get more money i will be ripping engine back out and rebuilding it with low compression pistons, crowe connecting rods, arias pistons, and giving it a port and polish. Should I jsut keep running stock engine and do this all at once...or will i be ok running at 10 daily? Let me know what you think

for a stage 2 @ 10 psi on stock internals/compression you will be fine as long as you have the following:

440 cc injectors
fmu
s-afc or v-afc
fuel pump
preferably 93 octane

if you did a search, you'd find alot of info on this.

Gotta love the S-AFCs

Why would you need an FMU if you were running 440s and an AFC?

i think that the 440's would be close to maxing out otherwise...and i think thats the basic fuel setup that inline pro uses sucessfully for many of their cars

I don't see how 440s could be close to maxing out at 10lbs of boost. If people running the AFC Hack(myself included) are running with 450s at -40% fuel trim, that would lead me to believe that the injectors are nowhere near their capacity. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see how an FMU is even necessary with 440s and an AFC.

Your right with that setup I have seen 440s run up to 18lbs

i would use the fmu as a precaution......but then again i was pushing over 21 lbs on my set up with the 440's.

from the tables i've seen the 440's would be maxing out around 300 hp, and thats at close to 100% duty cycle...and you are better off staygin around 80% duty cycle anyway...perhaps those were conservative numbers. there are many other variable at play...

if arturbo made 277 whp at 7.25 psi on what i belive was a revhard kit, i would tend to think that 10 psi should be close to 300hp, and close to maxing out the 440's. considering normal fuel pressures of course.

The tables are guides. I am just saying personally I have seen cars with a lot of boost with 440cc injectors working fine. Jinx ran 21lbs with 440's. Though paper can tell you a lot about what HP can do what, first hand expierence is the key. A friend of mine dynoed at about 290HP in a b16 only using 370s. So I dunno, personaly they have worked for me and my friends. When you are using a standalone you would probably want to go with some bigger injectors, I believe (I am not sure though cuz I use an ECU)

the tables were at normal fuel pressures, of course. in jinx's case i belive he was also using a 12:1 FMU. i was talking about a normal fuel pressure situation...let's say about 40 psi or so. i know that the FMU setups work, and have worked for many, but IMHO running high fuel pressures on smaller injectors is just asking for trouble.
