ok i was racing my friend and i was at third gear shifted at 7800 but hit railroad tracks at the same time and misshifted to 2nd and my rpm jumped to 8700. i was scared but my car sounded and drove fine on the way home but could there still be something wrong with my car?

 

Wow you suck! J/K Must be GSR rev limiter is 8700? If you car is fine now it will be fine for a while. You could take her for an oil change and a bath just to say your sorry

Rev limiters do NOTHING for mis-shifts. There will just be no gas in it when your engine explodes.
It's pretty likely your engine is OK if you don't hear any strange noises and all of your fluids are checking out fine.

yeah the rev limiter has nothing to do if u mis shift.....lol on takin her for an oil change and a bath and say your sorry

 

happend to my friends GS-r but his throttle cable fucked up. He thought for sure his valves were fuked but they turned out fine..
