Default opinions please! sell my b16 for b20

Last year I bought a b16 complete change over with the lsd tranny as well for 1650 from hmotorsonline.com. My goal was to do some serious internal work for a nice turbo setup. Well to this day I have yet to buy anything because i cant make up my mind what exactly i want to do. My friend is interested in buying it from me minus the tranny (head, block, ecu, axles, linkage, ect) for 800. The only reason im thinking about it is because i would like to go b20 turbo.
Should i keep the b16 since i have it already
or
do i lose money and buy a b20
either way id turbo it....
thanks

B20's are great for daily drivers, torque owns. BUT.... the downside is the weak sleeves of the B20 block, so if you plan on boosting it, you would seriously have to consider resleeving it. That will cost you... I'm pretty sure that the B16/B18 blocks will take more abuse than the B20. Plus, you can find B16 blocks super cheap on here and partstrader, etc, in case one blows up. I guess it's going to come down to how much $$$ you have to spend.

I agree 100%. If you are going to boost it, keep the b16... unless you want to drop some serious money. In which case keep the b20, because that would be sweet.

Well now that you're talking about resleeving, resleeve a b20 block. Slap the vtec head on there, keep the rev limit at a safe one... and boost away. No replacement for displacement + boost

Yeah.. what he said. If you are going to spend the money to sleeve something, sleeve the b20.

only $1650 for the complete swap and lsd trans.? They must have bumped up the price; was that the total price with shipping included?
