B16 vs. B20
Alrite I know the basics, the B16 has more hp and the B20 has more torque. I dont want to spend more than 1500 on a motor and tranny to drop into a shell. Search until I find a B16 or save some cash and get a B20?

my choice between the two would be a b16. why wouldn't you consider an ls motor along with the b20? oh well, maybe it's simply a matter of your preference. whichever route you go though, you won't be as happy as if you picked up an h22

i would go with a b16 bc its more reliable and plus i love the sound of vtec at 8000rpm....since ur budget is not suitable for a b20 vtec i say go with the b16

Re: B16 vs. B20 (csxcx)
try looking into the b16 head and the b20 block. the will need a lil work but it has good flow.this way u get the torque and the hp with the high rev. a friend of mine has a 00' si which he is doing that to. well thats my 2 cents just puttin it out there wutever u do just make sure it goes fast.

B20 You can get a B20 with a B16a head with money to spare. Don't worry about the whole revving thing them make most of there power down low no need to rev the **** out If you add i,e,h maybe cam's break into the the 200+hp club.
