Default my car died... im home and not my car... tell me wat u think.

well while the ignition key is turn to ON... nothing lites up... which if u turn it to ACC at alittle angle off the ON position it lites bac up.. or if u turn alittle angle to START then it lights back up... i can start it and hold the keys towards START and the engine runs fine.. but letting it go back on to ON position then it shuts down completely. i know its the ignition inside the key somewhere.. do you guys know anything or whats its called so i can buy the piece for it? is it some kind of coil that is worn out and not being shorted to keep the power on..?

I doubt it...then you would have to replace all of those locks as well. You could take out all the tumblers, but then you could open them with anything (but as long as you don't tell anyone it should be all good)

Ignition switch connects to the lock cylinder. You can unhook the ignition switch from the lock cylinder, stick a screwdriver in it ,start it, and see if it still has the same problem. I bet it will.

yes i seen GSRs that got jacked and those things fall in two pieces. which they use the screw driver to start it. so its the ignition switch which doesnt concern the key pattern is the piece i will need to change? my bro called honda and they said i need the whole thing which is roughly about 200... i dont think its a big problem jus to fix it is it?
