I used to have to jiggle the key in the ignition until one day I couldn't get the key into the ignition, like a pin was out of place. I finally got the key in but the key is stuck in that position. It won't move at all. Oddly, the valet key turned the engine immediately. The next time I tried to start the vehicle the neither key would turn.

When I look at the key inside the ignition I see that the ignition moves around and in some positions seems to connect electronically with something and the lights come on but only momentarily. Not long enough to start the engine.

Do I need a new ignition assembly or can the ignition be tightened so it doesn't jiggle around thus forming the contact it needs and enabling the van to start?
