i did a compression test today. the numbers seem kinda high. what you guys think?

95 H23
66000 miles
completly stock
60 degress outside
engine warmed up to normal temp.
throttle at WOT during test
pulled ecu fuse
brand new tester
all spark plugs removed

results
#1 #2 #3 #4 each cylinder was test 3 times and same #'s
220 220 215 215

these #'s seem really high but at least theyre consistant. what do you guys think?

Carbon buildup on the pistons, though that's quite a bit on a 66k mile engine.

 

Nah the numbers seem right. 220-240 means your engine is on point and running damn strong.

 

Yeah, i would say... A lot of carbon buildup? You should do some long period highway trips. Help cleans it out. But it is an h23 Good #'s

 

Why? Added bump in compression. Why would he want to get rid of that?

 

The car will be lower when cold

 

thanks for the replies. but i dont think its carbon build up because i always use 93 octane. just got back from a 400 mile trip on sunday and when i wind out the engine it doesnt blow out any carbon. so i dunno its runnin fine ...im not worried
