Default EK w/ b18c5 running like hell!!

ok guys heres the deal ive had my EK w/ b18c5 for 3 weeks now, only mod is short ram intake. For about the last 2 1/2 weeks everything has ran great!! but about 3 days ago my car started hesitating and that same night we got a ton of rain and car was hesitating VERY BAD. then the next morning after the motor warmeed up and was idling the rpms would drop very low (about 200-400) and shake very badly, but the hesitation problem while driving went away. later on in the day the idleing problem became less constant. Now today it drove fine all day, but the idling problem happen once again on my way home tonight! Now the motor has around 25-30k miles on it. i know when you swap a motor you should always have it tuned. Well it hasnt been, but why is it just now all the sudden running like this insted of beeing a problem for the past 3 weeks! it also blow dark gray/black smoke at WOT so im sure it needs some fuel tuning. But what do you guys think!!! let me know ASAP!!!

if you're using a stock b18c5 ecu you shouldn't have to tune it.

After I did my motor swap I had a similar problem, it turned out to just be my spark plugs....threw some new ones in and it was fixed. Maybe your fuel filter is clogged??? As far as smoke goes, I dont know. Worst case scenario, it could possibly be your rings.

Sounds like your electronics are getting wet....try to do a tune up on it: rotor, cap, wires, and plugs.

its up to you but i find every 10k is possible, too short an interval and it gets too fiddly to be worth it.. offical figure is quite a bit higher but its quite easy
