Default Symptoms of a ROM/Hondata gone bad?

Refer to this thread here for the story:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=691529

The ONLY thing that changed since the car was driving great to now, is me pulling my interface box and ecu fuse out. I popped them back in, and ever since, it drives like ****. Loud, idles a bit strange (sometimes real low), bucks when giving it gas sometimes...are these symptoms of the chip going bad, or maybe losing my tune somehow?

I did a compression test to see if I was in good shape, and I am at 220 across the board (PHEW!). I checked for leaks, and I see a MINUTE leak coming from the manifold at the wastegate flange. Very very small though, I cant imagine it would cause a problem. Everything else looks OK...again, it was driving PERFECT before I pulled the box.

Is there any way to test before I send my ecu/box out to get checked out? Does this sound like what would happen if there was a problem with the rom, chip, box, etc?

do you have a CEL and does the hondata red indicator light blink? or stay on solid?

The light on the box is on solid, and no CEL.

weird, did you try taking out the eprom, and putting it back in?

you might also want to test your map sensor, theres a way to verify the voltage.

I agree with Mase that is very weird. Only other advice I can tell you besides what Mase noted is try a new chip.

No insult newgsrdriver, but last time I looked, that 4-pin connector for the interface box doesn't seem to have any indicator of which way it should go in. Any possibility it might be reversed?

Never an insult man, Ill be the first to admit if I make a stupid mistake. Everyones gotta learn you know?

I dont think it is in the wrong way, but I will doublecheck. There is only one "tab" on the female portion for the male "tab" to click over.

I will go home today and try playing with the chip and replacing the map sensor per Mase's suggestions. If it was the hondata/ecu, what would give the car a different/gurgly exhaust tone?

Tried unplugging the interface box as well and I get a CEL so everything seems OK in that department.

Remember those words when I tell you...

If your car feels like its running on 3 cylinders, it probably is. I also learned today that cars drive better when all of their spark plugs are connected to the distributor. If one isnt connected, those are your symptoms...

...well none of you douchebags thought if it either!

we arent gay enough to pull something so ******* retarded as that, thats why we didnt say it, you even said u checked it all, you get the **** BOY Award of the week y0! maybe next time we should start by asking if you even have spark plugs, then go onto asking if you put fuel in the tank, and then if you know where the gas and brake pedals are

but atleast its fixed.

Don't feel to bad nick.

I had a misfiring/tach bouncing/speedo bouncing problem with my car I couldn't figure out. Spent lots on things that didn't fix the problem.

Sold my first turbo setup with hondata that was all tuned after only having it for like two months.

Right after selling everything I found I had a lose ground on the thermostat causing all the problems!!!!!
