Default hondata box go bad?

I just bought a s200b and changed to the p28... everything was going great on the install until I get the slow flashing light from the hondata box. (double check and tripple checked everything)

so I went to the local dealer and he checked everything in the ecu and burned a new rom to be sure it was not the problem.

come home and it is still flashing slow on install... but as I move the blue box, the led flickered. then it started to short flash irradically and as I move it more the led went out. move it agian and led is back to a slow flash.

? could the blue box be bad or have a short causing my problem ?

bump... manipulating the position of the cable and box definately causes some issues.

going to the dealer I got it from tomm. but still curious if this is something that is common and also possibly causing the flashing blue box problem?

glad I got rid of the afc but at least it worked... I am little bummed about this (esp. after messing with roms and troubleshooting for a few days now).

ok so I fiddled with it some more since I have some time.

I think it is a bad connection in the interface box or cable... I can hold the cable just right close to the connector and get a solid red light, but as soon as I move it it will be back to flashing.

anyone else ever have issues with their interface cable connection and/ or the connection at the box?
