arp head studs???/
are these really worth it b16 only changing my cams and headgasket internally? i plan on running 7 lbs nothing big, exactly what do these do compared to stock?
They work great on keeping your head from lifting from the block and warping under heat and stress from your extra hp. The Arp's have worked great ever since I have had them on my crx.
The 120 that you pay for them could just save you a head gasket and a milling when you warp your head.

Where is the best place to buy arp head studs? My head gasket is bad, i think, and i want to get some stronger head studs while i'm replacing it. Does anyone know if the aebs studs are any good? Thanks.
Last I checked lightning did not have them in stock. I know http://www.jegs.com had some a few weeks ago. They're a hot item, so be prepared to wait wherever you go.

A couple things to note with these:
First of all, I would HUGHLY suggest that you use the ARP moly lube on them, not 30 weight oil. 30 weight oil requires a lot more torque, and is not nearly as consistient. I know people who have blown head gaskets using ARPs and 30 weight, and we theorize that it was because they were not torqued enough.
Summit sells tubes of the moly, if you need it.
Also, make sure that you torque the studs down in the proper pattern. You want to go from the inside of the head out, and you want to alternate from side to side and from top to bottom. If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I can explain it better. Also, you want to torque in steps, I do mine hand tight, then 40, then 70, then full torque.
Hope this helps.
