d16z6 into 94 civic dx... starter wont crank.
everything lights up. battery works. the d16z6 came out of my car working and now has b18c. we put the d16z6 into my friens 94 dx and it wont start. doesnt crank. could it be a bad starter after sitting for awhile?

TRUE! starters are very fragile (in my experience)... through my swap, i ruined my sohc starter... remove it and test it out!

make sure tranny ground is on....
make sure 12 volts is bolted onto starter!!
most importantly make sure there is a good connection with the ground clip that goes on starter....i'll bet that it is not on.....
if that doesn't work ..... tap starter while a friend turns car over....
if starter is bad it should click and make a sound....
