please help: vtec doesnt always engage, temp ok and oil level ok, did a search
sometimes vtec doesnt kick in. is there a code for failling solenoids and if solenoids are failing, does check engine light turn on??? are they under warranty???

get an oil change my 94 wtec lude had that same problem one time vtec stoped working and i was like ahhh **** my motors dead. but i got an oil change and it work fine after that weird thing was that i only had 1500 on it since last oil change.

more than likely its an electrical problem. verify your connections are good at the solenoid and then trace it back all the way to the ecu.

that happened to me a couple of times...i found it to be the car wasn't warmed up yet......
but she's fine now..
